Peter Dawson (Irish) graduated from Sandhurst and served as a Captain in H.M. Forces in
various posts world-wide. He was
called to the Bar in 1969 and practised commercial and general common law
from Lord Rawlinson's chambers in London.
In 1973 he became Group Legal Advisor and Assistant Company Secretary to
the Kaye Organisation, and Managing Director of their French operating
subsidiary in 1974. In 1979 he
became an independent consultant to major companies such as Lesieur,
Unilever and BSN. Peter joined Padt
Consultants in 1994.

He has developed cultural, current affairs and food programming for
ABC and other networks and has written extensively (books, guides &
articles) on food and travel. His
search experience has been focused on high-tech, telecoms and
communications. Peter lives in Ireland and France.

Padraig O'Curry (Irish) started as a management trainee with Dunlop in Dublin and after completing his advertising studies,
joined Y&R Advertising in London
in 1957. Helped set up Peter Owens
in Dublin in 1960 as co-founder and moved
back to Y&R in New York
in 1962. Was sent to Paris in 1967 on
P&G and in 1969 to London. His clients included Chrysler, Xerox,
General Foods and Playtex. Returned to Paris with Publicis in 1973. In 1975 he became a founding partner of
John Stork & Partners, opening offices for this executive search
company in Paris, Frankfurt, Geneva and Amsterdam.
After the sale of JS&P to a large multinational firm, he returned to
advertising as Management Supervisor for IBM Europe at GGK London. Decided to return to consultancy as an independent in 1990 and acquired
Padt, then a small consultancy firm in Amsterdam.

He re-focused business on pan-European searches and international
business development, mainly in marketing and communications: he has also
worked on high tech and financial services.
Padraig lives in Spain
& France.

Waldemar F. Schoch (Wally) (German born Canadian) grew up in Quebec and California. Educated at University of California, Berkeley (BA in Social Science) and Thunderbird School of Global Management (Masters in International Mgmt) in Glendale, Arizona.
Most of Wally’s professional career has been in Marketing & Management in Europe: starting with Young & Rubicam Advertising, Ralston Purina then Guinness Brewing Worldwide (North America & Europe) United Distillers Europe and joint venture management with Moët Hennessy Distribution France (LVMH).

He joined IBM EMEA in Paris in 1995 and moved on to Compaq in Munich (Director of Marketing Communications) where he currently lives. After Compaq acquired Digital he elected to stay in Munich and set up Equinox Partners Germany in 1999, a management consultancy focused on marketing & business development of luxury/premium brands and places, e.g. high-end retail, themed F&B concepts and destination marketing. Equinox Partners is also associated with Equinox Search, an executive search group with partners in the USA and Europe - primary focus real estate marketing & development including commercial, retail, resorts, properties.

While in France Wally and his wife were founding Board members of the Ecole Internationale de Marne-la-Vallée (near Disneyland Paris). Upon moving back to Germany he continued his interest in educational and not-for-profit projects by also serving as Board member for the Munich-based Bavarian International School (K-12). Having now lived and worked in the USA, UK, Belgium, France and Germany Wally understands the complexities and cultural sensitivities involved in local, regional, national and European / international marketing of brands, products, services and communities.

Wally’s business and search experience covers a wide span of industries and cultures. He is fluent in English, French and German. Wally is married with 3 grown children.

Wim Slootweg (Dutch) joined Procter & Gamble Benelux in 1966 after obtaining
his MBA in the USA. While at P&G in Toronto, he switched to advertising. He worked for Ogilvy & Mather from
1966 to 1988: starting in account
management in Toronto, Frankfurt and Johannesburg and was later Managing Director of
O&M in Amsterdam and Chicago.
He was also Senior VP of International Marketing Communications at
Sara Lee/Douwe Egberts from 1988 to 1990 and chairman of Euro-RSCG
Advertising in the Netherlands
from 1990 to 1994. Wim joined Padt
Consultants in 1994. On loan as
Executive Director to UNICEF the Netherlands 1995-1999, he
rejoined Padt Consultants in May 1999.

Wim has worked extensively on searches for high-tech,
communications, financial and industrial companies around Europe. Wim lives in The Netherlands.
